The trail is long, flat, and quiet. It makes a great long run for Saturday morning. You’ll see a number of long distance runners along the way.
This route covers 10 miles, running 5 miles of the trail and back. Have fun!

The Run
Start your run at Bird’s Fort Trail Park. There’s plenty of parking available.
The park sits on the southern end of the trail. Move north on the Campion Trail towards to continue your run.

For 5 miles you’ll run on the Campion Trail passing Spring Trail Park, Keenan Crossing Trail Park, TW Richardson Grove Park and Sam Houston Trail Park.
Along the way you’ll see other runners and cyclists that live on the trail.

The Campion Trail also hosts great nature and wildlife. Like any park in the suburbs, there is a good chance you’ll see a critter or two. Check out the photo below of the armadillo I found!

Keep running until you reach Mile 5 in your run. When you reach the access bridge to the Valley Ranch neighborhood off the trail, turn back around.
