Oak Cliff Nature Preserve – Dallas Running Trails

City: Dallas, TX

Neighborhoods: Oak Cliff

Distance: 6.5 miles

It’s hard to do real backcountry trail running in Dallas. Most trails in the city are crowded concrete pathways, but the Oak Cliff Nature Preserve is real woodland trail running, and it’s only 15 minutes away from Downtown Dallas.

The Oak Cliff Nature Preserve is 121 acres of natural land with 8 miles of hiking and biking trails. The main trail loops total 6.5 miles.

The further you get into the woods, the less people you’ll see. You won’t feel like you’re in Dallas anymore. But don’t be scared to get lost! The main trails are easy to navigate, so follow the markers and you’ll be fine.
