Dallas was recently named the best skyline in the world. There are plenty of restaurants & bars around the city to take in the view, but here’s how to enjoy it while running on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge.
The route takes you through a high traffic Downtown neighborhood and under I-35 (busy highway), but if you’re an experienced runner that knows to stay alert, the views are worth it. And if you’re looking for a longer run, use this route to connect to the Trinity Skyline Trail.
Directions
- Start at American Airlines Center
- Head south on Victory Park Ln to Lamar
- Head west on Lamar under I-35
- Lamar turns into Continental Ave
- Pass Riverfront/Continental intersection
- Continental turns into Pedestrian Bridge
The Run
Starting on the south side of the AAC, you’ll see the South Victory neighborhood directly across Nowitzki Way. Pass the W Hotel and head south on Victory Park Ln until you get to Lamar.
Take Lamar under I-35. Keep running west until Lamar turns into the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge is .61 miles long and extends over the Trinity River. It’s only open to foot traffic, and the far west side offers a fantastic viewpoint of Downtown Dallas.
Turn back around to the American Airlines Center while taking in the skyline. Have fun!
