Santa Fe Trestle Trail – Dallas Running Trails

The Santa Fe Trestle Trail connects the Oak Cliff and Cedars neighborhoods via bridge. The short 1-mile route crosses over the Trinity River and connects both ends of the Trinity Levee Trail, making a full loop around the river.

This route only takes you to the end of the Santa Fe Trestle Trail and back, but check out the Trinity Skyline Trail route for a full 9 mile run around the Trinity River.

Directions​

  1. Start at south end on Santa Fe Ave & 8th St
  2. Move northeast on trail
  3. Cross over Love Locks Bridge
  4. Turn back at north end parking lot

The Run

Start your run at the 8th & Corinth DART station parking lot. You’ll immediately see the trail entrance. Move onto the trail!

Santa Fe Trestle Trail Entrance

Head northeast on the trail for a 0.7 miles. You’ll pass over the Trinity River via the Dallas Love Locks Bridge, with the DART rail system off to the side. Keep your eye out for wildlife around the Trinity River!

Pass under the DART rail and head towards the trail’s northend parking lot. Turn back at the lot and head to your starting point.
